Embossing folders are not just for embossing. They can also be used as stamps to create beautiful textured backgrounds.
This is a fun and easy way to get more out of the tools you already have in your stash.
Technique:
Using embossing folders as stamps is a simple way to create detailed backgrounds.
1. Choose an embossing folder with a design you like.

2. Apply ink directly to one side of the folder (either the raised or recessed side).

3. Place inked surface onto the your cardstock .
4. Press down gently to transfer the ink.
5. Lift the embossing folder to reveal the stamped image.

Each embossing folder gives you two different looks:
• The embossed side creates one image
• The debossed side creates another
This makes it a very versatile tool, especially for journal pages where you want to fill a larger space with texture.
