Drywall tape is not something you would usually find in a craft room, but it is surprisingly versatile when it comes to creating backgrounds and textures.
This is a great example of using something from the hardware store in your crafting projects.
Technique:
There are three simple ways to use drywall tape in your projects:
1. Use it as a stamp
Add ink to the tape and press it onto your paper to create a fun grid-like pattern.

2. Use it as a stencil
Place the drywall tape onto your cardstock and apply ink over it with a blending tool or blending brush to create a grid of small squares.

This works especially well for tags and journal pages.
3. Use the tape itself
Ink a piece of drywall tape with a waterproof ink like Archival Ink and use it as a textured embellishment on your project.
