When my son was little, he loved blowing bubbles. I loved watching the concentration on his little face while trying to blow the biggest bubble. I just had to document this special memory.
Remember that your photos should always be the most important part of your page. The embellishments and paper you use should just compliment your photos.
Method:
This page is very straightforward in terms of the layout. I will focus on specific techniques that I used to complete this double scrapbook page.
I created the bubbles by covering plastic circles with Nuvo Jewel Drops and Ranger Perfect Pearls powder.

To create the plastic circles, I laminated an empty laminating pouch and then cut the circles with a cutting die. Punches don’t work so well with plastic.

I couldn’t find the perfect colour pattern paper to compliment my photos, so I used a stencil, dauber and Distress Oxide ink to create my own custom pattern paper on a piece of red cardstock.

I added some texture to my page by stamping bubbles with a VersaMark watermark stamp pad and adding some Tsukineko Bridal embossing powder. After I heat embossed this, it really looked like bubbles on the blue cardstock.

Remember to journal on your page! At least put the date on your page. We tend to forget when exactly things happened! I like to use a date stamp for this.

I finished off the double page layout with an appropriate title and embellishments cut with my Silhouette Cameo 4 machine.
